Tableau Conference

Tableau Conference is one of the largest and most beloved events in the data world — a gathering that grew from a few hundred attendees to over 20,000 at its peak, drawing data practitioners, analysts, and business leaders from more than 60 countries. Known as the "Data Event of the Year," it has always been as much about community as it is about product. For my team, that wasn't just a tagline — it was the brief.

My team was responsible for bringing the customer and community voice to life on the biggest stages in the Salesforce ecosystem. We produced in-person and virtual sessions broadcast on Salesforce+, giving real customers and community members a platform to share their stories with a global audience. Beyond the main stage, we built the community heartbeat of the conference itself — designing and executing activations that made attendees feel at home, including community meetups, Tableau Public visualization galleries, and customer showcases that demonstrated the real-world power of the platform. Notable activations included partnerships with brands like Jack in the Box, where data-driven storytelling was brought to life in ways that were tangible, memorable, and deeply human. Every element we built was designed with the same goal in mind: to celebrate the people behind the data, and to prove that when a community is given a stage, the results are extraordinary.
