COVID Data Hub

Launched in March 2020, Tableau built a free, publicly accessible data hub to help individuals, businesses, and governments visualize and understand the pandemic as it unfolded. It was one of the first tools of its kind, aggregating data from Johns Hopkins University and The New York Times into interactive dashboards that anyone could download and customize.

The Hub evolved throughout the pandemic — expanding its scope, adding new data partners, and publishing thought leadership on topics like racial disparities and supply chain impacts. It saw massive adoption, with its starter dashboard downloaded over 16,000 times by organizations ranging from local governments to major corporations like Verizon.
